probunkers has been awarded The Sustainability Award during the prestigious Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards 2019 ceremony that took place on Friday December 6th in Athenaeum InterContinental hotel.

Consistent to the sustainability principles, the success of probunkers will lead the pace in the efforts for decarbonization in the shipping industry and the reduction of GHG emissions. At the same time, the vast adoption of LNG as fuel will greatly contribute to the efforts for the reduction of air pollutants affecting public health.
probunkers’ Chief Executive, Alexander Prokopakis accepted the award by thanking the company management team and Founding partners for their belief, support, enthusiasm and dedication. Ιn a short acceptance speech he commented: “This award showcases the importance of the task at hand and the recognition of the industry towards the bold steps required to achieve a sustainable future for shipping. Overtaking the chicken – and – egg dilemma of LNG as fuel requires great devotion and strong belief in what we are doing. As a young company believing in sustainability and having it in our DNA, we strive to contribute to a better environment for us, our children and the future generations.”
